@rtrunkhill @bradwilson @YouTubeTV In Seattle I get the big 4 streaming on Hulu. I tested out Hulu, Sling and YouTube TV and overall Hulu has the best overall setup for me.I also have directTV Now which is horrible but free and Xfinity beta online which is also horrible but works well for JoeTV when needed.

Can't believe I have to wait two (or more) weeks to get internet with @Xfinity First. "you need a filter". Next day "your line is not connected". Next day "your ground line is broken. A technician will come in two days". Two days later "let's make that 8 days"... And MAYBE

@MPatterson22 @nicklackeart When I was looking to cut costs, I switched from Comcast to @YouTubeTV and I will never switch back! I kept @netflix because I love the originals/documentaries. Even having both, I am still under what I paid for cable with Comcast.

@supersat @SwiftOnSecurity Old tweet but I can 100% confirm they do this (at least Comcast, FIOS didn’t) because I would record OTA and cable via TiVo and the reported bitrate was lower and the file sizes were way smaller. Lots being transcoded to MPEG4 now so that introduces its own issues.

Well, this is a pile of fresh horse crap. All of my @Xfinity services went out at 12:00am, been trying to figure out what happened. Turns out that there is a 6 hour "planned maintenance" for my area, that I was *never* notified about... no email, no screen banners, nothing. 🤬

Trying to get my parents internet back up and running but can’t even talk with a Verizon Fios customer service person. Been on hold for 50 minutes. Comcast is a million times better than Verizon. @verizonfios

@wordSmith_65 @korytellers It wasn't for ours either. During the pandemic I think quite a few took advantage of low-cost internet from Comcast or similar, but pretty sure that doesn't exist any more. And a former student reminded me that there are plenty of teachers who have bad internet service too.
