If you're AI-curious, you should spend 15 minutes with this new tool https://getonboard.devBasically, it reads in code from a GitHub repository. Then it answers questions, explaining what the software does, how the code works, or providing examples.That's a great way to learn regardless of your existing knowledge.But it's more than that. Onboard-AI does something I've never seen another generative AI do: it shows its sources. I'm a historian, so they makes me happy regardless, but it also gets a little closer to explainable AI. In this case, explorable AI.Things like ChatGPT do not think, know, or read; we imagine that they do at our own peril. Seeing a language model engage with a relatively constrained corpus with citations is a powerful learning experience I look forward to bringing to the classroom. #learningjourney #explainableai #ai #chatgpt
