  • 1. Take the chicken winglets in a clean bowl and massage the winglets with salt and pepper.

    2. Pre-heat the oven at 425 degrees F.

    3. Place the Chicken winglets on a baking sheet and bake both sides for 15 minutes each.

    4. In another bowl add the soya sauce, rice vinegar, rice wine, sriracha sauce and mix well until fully incorporated.

So it was good , but did lack sweetness, I added some dark brown sugar, which made it delicious, just a few tweaks, I will definitely be making these again!!

Good recipe but a few tweaks really elevate it.
    1. 2 tablespoons of a dark (buckwheat) honey
    2. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

The buckwheat honey adds a hint of sweetness that the recipe is lacking. While normal honey could be used, the dark honey adds depth. I suppose a smaller amount of molasses could be used in conjunction with a light honey. The oyster sauce adds some umami to the recipe.

I will absolutely make it again.

I loved your flavor profile so much Matt, sounds delicious and now I want to make them badly and ASAP. I do have oyester sauce but I don't have molasses or Buckwheat honey. Wanna check it out at Whole Foods soon. I am so glad that you tried the recipe and shared your feedback along with your personal touches 🙂 Great idea. Thanks much Matt. Keep coming back for more awesomeness 🙂 -Meghna.

I like your honey tip. I just finished eating BBW wings and googled a recipe to try at home. As I scrolled through the ingredients I was curious where the sweetness comes from. I'm going to try making these this weekend and I will incorporate some honey and/or maybe a little dark brown sugar.

I am dying to try this recipe as BWW Asian Zing is my favorite, but I have a question.
Where I live, I can only find Rice Wine Vinegar. Can you tell me how to proceed?

    Reply

    • Foodies Terminal says

Hello Patty, I am so excited to know that you love Asian Zing wings, we too are a huge fan of Asian Zing 🙂 Rice Wine Vinegar will work just fine, if using Rice wine vinegar skip the rice vinegar and the rice wine from the recipe, instead use the Rice wine vinegar just 2 tablespoons. It'll give the wings just the right amount of sour taste and a bit of wine flavor. So good! Thanks much Patty for stopping by , hope you love the recipe as much as we do. Do share your experience with us 🙂
