This registration option is for those who are participating with a GOTR/Heart & Sole girl in the GingerSnap 5K either In-Person OR Virtually with GOTR/Heart & Sole Team.

In-Person:
Run the USATF certified course through Waxhaw, NC on Saturday, November 21, 2020. First GOTR/H&S wave starts at 8:20am. Included in your in-person registration fee is a race shirt, medal, and race bib. Race shirts and medals are guaranteed to all participants who register by October 27, 2020.

Virtual:
Run/walk virtually with your GOTR or Heart & Sole Team. Then, upload your time to be recognized for this accomplishment with all of our runners! Included in your virtual registration fee is a race shirt, medal, and race bib. Race shirts and medals are guaranteed to all participants who register by October 27, 2020.

This registration option is for those who want to run/walk the 5K in-person and are not participating with a GOTR and/or Heart & Sole girl.

As the world battles the COVID-19 pandemic, our concern for the welfare of the participants of the Gingersnap 5K has always been and will continue to be our first priority. We will follow the guidance and recommendations from our local, state, and national government regarding the safety of our in-person race. Should the need arise to cancel the in-person 5K, all in-person registrations will be converted to virtual 5K registrations. Refunds will be permitted to those not wishing to participate virtually. There is a $2.00 refund fee. In addition, all processing fees (paid during registration) are NON-REFUNDABLE.

The Gingersnap 5K is an annual fundraiser for Girls on the Run Union County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to help girls realize their limitless potential. Results are managed by ShaZam Racing.

We want to give everyone the opportunity to experience the Gingersnap 5K and what better way than to run with us wherever you are! Included in your virtual registration fee is a race shirt, medal, and race bib. Race shirts and medals are guaranteed to all participants who register by October 27, 2020.

For this virtual run, you get to choose the race course and your start time! Run around your neighborhood, favorite park or anywhere else of your choice. All you have to do is complete your run or walk between the designated window below then, upload your time to be recognized for this accomplishment with all of our runners!

Virtual Start Date: 12:01AM Sunday, November 15, 2020

Virtual End Date: 11:59PM Saturday, November 21, 2020 *results become official on November 22

Drive thru and pick up your race packet complete or we can mail out your race packet! Packet mailing option is available at time of registration for a $10 fee. NOTE: Shipping is only available to the continental 48 US States. We are unable to ship to a PO Box address. If your shipping address is ineligible, you will be cancelled, refunded and contacted. Shipments will begin the week of November 9, 2020.

  • Please pull into the parking lot and follow volunteer direction. Stay in your vehicle at all times.
  • This building is located in the same parking lot as the Waxhaw Police Department

• Last day to register and be guaranteed to receive a participant shirt for the race is October 27, 2020
• Registrations after 10/27 receive shirts at packet pickup on a first-come, first-served basis
• There is NO race day registration
• NEW for 2020: GOTR participants WILL receive a GingerSnap event shirt as a special gift
• For the Virtual Race, there will be NO REFUNDS - for any reason.
• For the In-Person Race, should the need arise to cancel the in-person 5K, all in-person registrations will be converted to virtual 5K registrations. REFUNDS WILL BE PERMITTED to those NOT wishing to participate virtually. There is a $2.00 REFUND FEE. In addition, all processing fees (paid during registration) are NON-REFUNDABLE.
