10. Nikola Pekovic

Players like Gorgui Dieng, Al Jefferson, Sam Cassell, and Jimmy Butler deserve consideration. Still, like those top athletes, Nikola Pekovic also left a lasting impression on Timberwolves fans across the globe. Pek quickly established himself as one of the best offensive rebounders in basketball, and good luck finding a more intimidating paint presence than ‘The Godfather’ in his heyday.

9. Tom Gugliotta

Googs! You almost have to feel bad for Tom Gugliotta. In 1994, Gugliotta landed with the Timberwolves and quickly locked down the starting power forward role while emerging as one of the best players on the roster. A year later, KG arrived. Still, Gugliotta rose to the competition and averaged over 20 points per game in his third year in Minnesota, and even became an All-Star for the only time in his career.

The Timberwolves were starved for consistent play from their point guard after Stephon Marbury wanted out, and Terrell Brandon delivered in a big way. The veteran brought a Mike Conley-esque veteran presence to the backcourt, averaging 16.5 PPG, 8.1 APG, and two steals per game while shooting 38.6% from distance from 2000 to 2001.
